Littleneck Clams from Matunuck Oysters. Matunuck Oysters will only be with us the first four weeks of this season (June 21, and tomorrow, June 28, July 5th & 12th, so take advantage of them while they are here. Jessica and Nino Granatiero (owners of The Savory Grape) made these Littlenecks last week, here is how they prepared them:
I got Littleneck Clams from Matunuck Oysters, which must have just come out that morning. They were so fresh. That night, Nino and I feasted on clams sautéed in garlic, olive oil and white wine paired with Zenato Lugana (a dry, Italian white made from Trebbiano). Fresh asparagus from Schartner Farms was at the table. And a sweet treat from Seven Stars Bakery made the meal complete. It’s hard to beat summer in Rhode Island, isn’t it?
